Younes Abouyaaquob: Islamic Man responsible for the death of 120 people in Barcelona shot dead on Sight.


Younes Abouyaaquob, 22, who killed 13 and injured 120 when he drove a van into pedestrians in Barcelona last week, has been shot dead by armed police 28 miles west of the city.

Abouyaaquob escaped the crime scene on foot before stealing a car, stabbing the driver to death and driving through a police barricade in the town of Sant Just Desvern.

He has been in hiding for four days, before being spotted trying to break into houses in the town of Subirats on Monday.

Locals spotted him before armed police spotted him and confronted him in a vineyard where he was shot dead around one kilometer way on a country road flanked by vineyards and around a 100 meters from a sewage station.

According to a local resident who gave her name as Roser Venura said the police told them to immediately leave the Ventura Soler cava vineyard, located between the towns of Sadurni d’Anoia and Subirats. She says ‘we heard helicopters flying around and many police cars coming toward the gas station’ near the property.

Another resident named Nuria added: ‘There have been a lot more police around here than normal since the attack in Barcelona. This is a nice, quite peaceful area. I can’t believe something like this has happened.

On monday the police confirmed that the radical imam Abdelbaki Es Satty, who was the mastermind was killed in an explosion at a suspected bomb-making factory in Alcanar before the Barcelona attack.

So far The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for both the Cambrils and Barcelona attacks.
